In early 2021, our inhouse gender expert first posted an „orange“ WhatsApp number online. This Trust Line offers Syrian women and girls a low threshold access to support - wherever they may be. Our trusted Syrian female expert seeks to let beneficiaries open up, speak out and formulate their needs in their own language and culture. In addition to personal counselling, this service often includes a referral based on specific needs (shelter, psychosocial support, etc.) within Syria, its neighbouring countries or in the EU. Most beneficiaries are victims of violence, sexualized violence, enforced marriage, polygamy or human trafficking.
